Titanic is a film which almost all the people have watched it. We still give examples of Jack and Rose and their love story. The sinking of Titanic is a real story but the love story of Jack and Rose added an extra feature to the story. But did you know who they originally wanted to cast as Jack? Or how deep the water was when they were filming?
Probably not, but jump aboard and pretty soon you’ll be a Titanic expert.
1. Living History
Gloria Stuart was the only person who worked on the film who was actually living in 1912 when the Titanic sunk.
And with her nomination for Best Supporting Actress at age 87, she became the oldest person to ever be nominated for an Oscar.
2. Pet Project
On the set of Titanic, DiCaprio’s pet lizard was run over by a truck, but with some TLC, he was able to nurse him back to life.
3. Hugs, Not Drugs
On the final night of shooting in Nova Scotia, one or more pranksters mixed PCP (angel dust) into the clam chowder served to the cast and crew. The result?
Eighty people were sent to the hospital with hallucinations.
4. The Role of Molly
Reba McEntire was offered and had accepted the role of Molly Brown, but due to later schedule conflicts, had to turn it down.
