17 Ridiculously Awful Things People Did To Their Private Parts In 2017

Listen, lady bits are a gift to humanity, let’s not deny that. But the things women have done to it in 2017 are hilarious, stupid and sometimes even criminal.

Ladies take care of your things because they are really useful.

Here are the most outrageous things women did to their most intimate area in 2017.

  1. Putting makeup sponges up there

Getting your period is difficult and inconvenient in many different ways. And when you’re bleeding down there, usually very the last thing you want is to get some action between your legs. However, this certainly doesn’t apply to everyone; some people will find ways to get around the bleeding so that they can have sex with their partner.

However, contrary to what the website Lifehacker.com says, putting a makeup sponge in your vagina is not the way to go. And why’s that? Well, it’s made of polyester foam, a material which could upset the natural balance of the yeast and bacteria that live in the vagina. In the worst case scenario, it could even lead to toxic shock syndrome.

  1. Getting surgery to perfect your camel toe

Considering how widely available naughty material is and also taking into consideration the fact that many female adult stars have surgery to “neaten” their labia, it’s very easy to feel insecure about the overall appearance of your own vagina.

Confused? This video will help explain a lot (it certainly helped me…):

However, contrary to what the website Lifehacker.com says, putting a makeup sponge in your vagina is not the way to go. And why’s that? 1. Blow-drying after sex

For some bizarre reason, some online publications will list vag-hacks which are clearly not backed by any scientific evidence. For instance, some state that blow-drying one’s nether regions after having sex, is the best way to eradicate the unhealthy bacteria that live there. And that is entirely untrue!

Blow-drying your body’s most sensitive area is actually more likely to kill off the good bacteria that set out to protect your vagina, which could ultimately lead to getting an infection down there. Ouch!

  1. Cucumbers as cleansing products

Contrary to what a number of people think, the female genitals are not naturally dirty. They tend to have a pungent smell and it is common for discharge to occur throughout the day. However, this does not mean they need any extra cleaning.

But there has been a recent online trend whereby people have start peeling the skin off cucumbers and putting it inside themselves in a bid to freshen up their vulvas.

Please do not try this – your reproductive organ is self-cleaning, and leaving cucumber peels inside for too long could lead to a painful infection.

Anyone who has used VapoRub when they have a cold will know just how strong a substance it is. And for good reason – it’s the perfect remedy for a blocked nose.

Unfortunately, some women are turning to VapoRub as a way to soothe things like a yeast infection. But it should go without saying that it’s more likely to make your symptoms worse rather than better.

  1. Using vinegar in order to tighten

As it turns out, there are women who will do anything to attain a tighter area. And for some reason, many of these methods are vinegar-related.

From soaking tampons in vinegar to bathing in vinegar, some women are hoping this will do wonders for their vaginas. But actually, this will only end up causing irritation and possible damage to the vagina.

  1. Gluing the labia together to stop periods

Mensez is a “lipstick” which was designed to stick the labia minora together in order to stop blood coming out when you’re on your period. However, they’re certainly not a good alternative to using tampons or pads, and will only cause disruption in that delicate region.

As I noted earlier, the vagina is self-cleaning and so nothing needs to be applied or put inside for hygiene purposes. Using tree oils can actually burn the vaginal mucosa – not good!

  1. Putting Bonjela inside the vulva

Now Bonjela is pretty useful when you have painful mouth ulcers, but not so much if you have pain around your genitals.

If you are experiencing pain down there, please go to your doctor rather than find your own method of soothing the pain.

  1. Soaking in warm herbal yoni tea

Soaking in herbal tea will do absolutely nothing to clean or freshen up your netherregions, contrary to what you might have read online.

  1. Putting yoni oil in the vagina

You shouldn’t be putting herbs inside your genitals. Period.

  1. Wasp nests

Back in June 2017, people were selling wasp nests on Etsy and some women were actually buying them in order to tighten their private area. Again, this will only serve to kill off the healthy bacteria that reside there.

  1. Using ozone gas to clean the vagina

Yep, you guessed it – it is now being claimed, by very unreliable sources, that funneling in ozone gas will fight off bad bacteria which it certainly does not.

  1. Putting in glitter capsules

Putting plastic materials inside the vagina is never a good idea as they could seriously disrupt the pH balance of the vulva.

  1. Putting jade eggs in

A little while ago, Gwyneth Paltrow made absurd claims that inserting jade eggs in the “lady garden” would improve its overall health. Unfortunately, this is totally untrue and could actually lead to toxic shock syndrome.

  1. Putting fruit inside the vagina

In a bid to create a more fresh-smelling environment, some women will insert various fruits into the privates. Don’t be one of these people if you care about your genitals at all.

  1. Freezing for sexual pleasure

Yep, some people are actually doing this despite the fact that it could cause serious damage to the sensitive tissues around the vagina.

I’m hoping if any of you were initially think of trying one or more of these absurd and extremely counterproductive vag-hacks, you’ve now realized just how much damage can be done to your private pleasure box if you’re not careful.

If anything, our collective new year’s resolution for 2018 should be to treat our vajajas like the queens they are!
