Supermodel Iskra Lawrence had had enough of body shamers! So she shared her ‘unbrushed’ photos to show people that nobody is perfect. Photos of celebrities on magazines and advertisements are actually photoshopped and ‘airbrushed’ to look more ‘perfect’ to the eyes of many.
To boost body-confidence, Iskra shares her thoughts: ‘Please never, ever compare yourself to images you see, many aren’t real. ‘What’s real is you, your imperfectly perfect self. That’s what makes you magical, unique and beautiful.’
Models and celebrities are not perfect—just like us! We all have different ‘tastes’ and standards when it comes to beauty. Some might like women who are tall, while some like petite women. Some may like the slim type, and there are people who prefer the ‘curvy’ type. But one thing is for sure: beauty knows no boundaries. However, our society today dictates what is beautiful and what is not. Because of this, many people are fat-shamed and body-shamed, because they are perceived to be ugly or simply ‘not beautiful’. But if you really think about it, women who dubbed beautiful decades ago are more curvaceous than many women today.
