A female high school teacher has been accused of having sex with a male pupil, who was just 15.
The school teacher, Deborah Lowe, 53, is alleged to have groomed the teenage boy. The prosecutors said that she became ‘infatuated’ with, while he attended a school in Greater Manchester.
The mother-of-two is separated from her husband, appeared via videolink at Stockport Magistrates Court this morning.

Last week she was arrested and later charged with sexual activity with a boy under the age of 16 and abuse of a position of trust after police received a report of grooming in Cheadle, Greater Manchester.
Lowe, looking tanned with her blonde hair in a bun, wore a black leather jacket with a black jumper and blue jeans as she spoke only to confirm that she was temporarily living at Elmsbed Caravan Park in Poynton, Cheshire.

Lowe is accused of intentionally touching a boy aged 15, not reasonably believing he was 16 or over, between 14 September 2014 and and 13 September 2015
Between 14 September 2014 and and 13 September 2015, the school teacher is accused of intentionally touching a boy aged 15, not reasonably believing he was 16 or over.
That touching means sexual penetration of her vagina with his penis. In September 2015 and 31 July 2016 she also faced charges of abusing a position of trust by being in a sexual relationship with a boy aged 16.
Tina Cunnane, prosecuting, said diary entries and text messages recovered by police showed Lowe had been ‘infatuated’ with her alleged victim.

In the court she accepted that she had a sexual relationship with the teenager, 17, and cannot be named for legal reasons – after he left school. But she denied the two charges before her.
The court refused her bail after the prosecution maintained that there were ‘substantial grounds to believe she would interfere with witnesses’.
Lowe, supported by two men in the public gallery, was remanded in custody to appear at Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester on August 16.
