Qatar’s Ambassador to the United States, H E Sheikh Meshal bin Hamad Al Thani cleared that the Turkish army deployment in Qatar was a pre-crisis deal.

He said during a speech at the World Conference Council in Washington, that the demands received by Doha were not convincing or logical and it jeopardised sovereignty of Qatar. He also added that Qatar was trying to handle the issue positively and constructively.

Responding to the accusation on Qatar of forging a coalition with the Muslim Brotherhood, the ambassador denied that, saying that such a view of Qatar that it supports the Muslim Brotherhood is the result of Emirati and Saudi propaganda.

He stressed that Qatar backs governments and continues to work with Tunisia until today even after the Muslim Brotherhood left power there.
