Thai Coffee Shop Owner Could be Jailed For Using Near Naked Model To Serve Customers

Coffee shops are a dime a dozen and if you’re not exactly a Starbucks calibre establishment, you need all the help you can get to attract customers.

Prason Sukkorn, who owns a coffee shop in Bangkok, Thailand, came up with a brilliant idea. Using the irrefutably effective marketing strategy – the old ‘sex sells’ technique. But instead of spending huge amount of money on billboard or TV ads that typically features a hot girl in racy attire, Prason hired model Arisa Suwannawong and had her serve customers wearing high heels, apron, and nothing else.

Now a skimpily dressed waitress will raise eyebrows anywhere, unless you’re in a strip club. But this is Thailand and people are not that down to this level of nudity in a public wholesome establishment.

Thailand is not so hot on seeing almost naked waitresses in a coffee shop.

She served customers wearing high heels, apron, and nothing else.

Suwannawong, known for her big breasts, said she wasn’t getting paid for this job.

She just wanted to help the business get more customers.

Imagine this body serving your coffee first thing in the morning.

“I just did it out of the goodness of my heart to help the coffee shop,” the model, also known as ‘Jaenae with the huge boobs,’ said. “They are a new business and didn’t have customers so I just wanted to help.”

She did it out of the kindness of her heart, she said.

Sukkorn seconded this statement, saying “There was no intention to be sexual or offensive. I posted the pictures online just as a way of marketing the business. I have apologized for this.”

The model apologized for the stunt.

“I hope people will forgive me. I didn’t know how angry so many people would be about it.”

But the Thai police still trailed the matter, saying that a crime has been committed even though the pictures of the model are already removed from the website.

“The owner said that he didn’t know better and admitted it was a way to publicize his coffee shop that just opened last Tuesday.

“He didn’t realize it would break the law, because the model in the photos wasn’t fully naked.”

Sukkorn may face three to five years in jail or a fine of 100,000 Thai baht ($3,160) for obscenity.

  1. These three figures — William Rick Singer, Mark Riddell and Rudolph Meredith, respectively — are at the center of the nationwide scandal in which 33 parents are accused of using their wealth and means to help their children game the college admissions system.
But those three names do not appear anywhere in the complaint text, though the document gives enough clues to make clear who is who. Instead, they are named as Cooperating Witness 1, 2 and 3, and each agreed to plead guilty and to cooperate with the government in the hope of obtaining leniency when they are sentenced, the complaint says.
