Jason Brown will be sent to prison for 28 years; for four years on each count of torturing seven dogs.
In July 2014, he was arrested after a maid at a Super 8 Motel found a dog’s head in the bathtub. When the police entered the room, they found severed skin and heads and it was covered with blood and dog limbs.
Finally, the authorities arrested him, and was accused of five felony counts of wilful torture of an animal. And once count of possession of a controlled substance. A close family friend testified that he felt rage, and killing dogs made him feel high.
Nor the judge or the District Attorney showed him any leniency, and for good reason.
People who used to sell dogs to Brown broke down into tears after watching videos of skinning and torturing the dogs. But Brown refused to watch the video.
Brown was a drug addict with one of the worst addictions ever, the judge did not allow that to get him off of the charges. And was sentenced to 28 years in prison. In 11 years, he will be eligible for parole.
